Coptrol Petroleum Cooperative Company, a subsidiary of the Egyptian Petroleum Sector, was established on March 18, 1934, with a capital of 932 Egyptian pounds, as the first national company to manage the production and marketing of petroleum products under the administration of Egypt. Then the Petroleum Cooperative Company “Coptrol” was transformed into a joint stock company on May 8, 1963 subject to the provisions of Law No. (97) of 1983, in January 2013 approved by the General Assembly to extend the matter to the company for a period of 50 years ending in March 2063, and it became the capital of the company. On June 30, 2013, at an amount of 613 million pounds.
